crossJohn 11:25 I am the resurrection and the life.

With Easter and Spring quickly approaching, there are a lot of thoughts that pass through my mind, but none sticks out or comes close to the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the Gospel, the Good News. And my faith in what He has done for me 2000 years ago is what takes away my sins and my guilt, and one day soon, will take me to Heaven to live forever with Him.

Just today I was told of the passing of three dear saints of God, all of whom had a special place in my life and were very dear, who told me of Jesus and shared Him every chance they could. They prayed for me when I needed it and never hesitated to stop and lend a hand to those in need. They shared Christ by the way they each lived their lives on a daily basis.

I think back to when I was growing up and they would come to church and share a song on Sunday mornings, testifying to what the Lord allowed them to do. One song they would share that I loved so much and still is a favorite of mine today, “No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus”, will always have a special place in my heart, no matter who sings it, even though today Debra Talley does it very well and sings my current favorite rendition of it.

But to think of those words and realize that Jesus died for my sins and rose again three days later for someone as unworthy as me; that’s so overwhelming. I pray that when you hear the song and listen to the words that it blesses you as it has me.

Chorus: No one ever cared for me like Jesus. There’s no other friend so kind as He. No one else could take the son and darkness from me. Oh how much He cares for me.
