Rob Patz shares more on Restoration in his Publisher’s Point: “Welcome to the October Publisher’s Point. I hope that you are enjoying the Fall season and have already had a chance to have a pumpkin spice latte, much like I did on the first day that you could order a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks. I was there at the airport in Seattle and ordered the first one from that barista, at 5:30 in the morning when they open. I know, it’s the little things in life that make me happy.
“Over the past few months of the Publisher’s Point, I have been talking about restoration. I was watching a show on the History Channel the other night. There was a gentleman who restores things for clients and brings them back to life. He was looking at a piece of rusted metal and kept saying how amazing it was going to look. All I could think of was that this person had brought him a piece of junk, and there was no way it was going to turn out to be anything more than a piece of junk, maybe with new paint….”
